I hated snakes. Let me make that clear. They are cursed devil-creatures, doomed to a life of misery sliding on their bellies and eating dirt.
Imagine my fear when I was bitten by a poisonous one.
I'm not going to say that things were fine, because they weren't.
I was in pain, I got sick, I became more afraid of snakes than I've ever been.
But something else happened.
And if my fear of snakes was as real as I thought it was...
I should have been mortified of my own self.

They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking.
