Caged

Ok, this is just a very little short story that I wrote a few years ago. I felt like I've become a much better writer since then, so it took all of my willpower not to go back and edit it. But I didn't! This is it's original form.

It's about a girl named Vada, who has powers that she doesn't want and lives in an underground town beneath one wrecked by war that praises her powers. They want her to use them against the town's slaves, who are spit on and mistreated all their lives. When these powerless people and a deadly plague get caught up in a horrible mess that Vada feels it is her job to untangle, the her whole world begins to crumble.
