In this AU of Keira Cass' Selection series May and America are twins and are both old enough to enter the lottery for the selection. Once May gets chosen to be one of the selected she goes to the castle to meet Prince Maxon. When the Palace throws a ball in celebration of Maxon choosing the elite the families of the elite visit the palace to; meet the prince, attend the ball, and visit their family. 

What happens when America and Maxon start to fall for each other? Will America give up being with Maxon for May or will she hurt her sister forever?

But because of a mix up at the hospital the heir to Illea was mixed up with a five born the same day. Sending the prince back to Carolina and the five to the palace. But when everything is revealed, Maxon is thrown into a toxic world of tiaras and tea parties which isn't as friendly as it seems, and America's role as princess is threatened by someone who has no idea what they're doing. Previously known as 'my selection' in the books it's maxons selection but what if it was the other way around? in this story, it's America's selection. (ik in the heir it's said eadlyn had the first girl selection but I'mma change that and alot of things so just know I'll break some rules from the books) America's parents didn't want to marry off her to get allegiance but they think she should be a queen. so when she turns 17 they suggest the idea of a selection for her. maxon is a five and a photographer. he's has always thought that the princess was really beautiful with her icy blue eyes and red hair like roses and honey and the sun. So obviously when he was given the chance to take part in her selection, he agreed What will happen next? Is it as simple as that? A common happily ever after?
