Inayah never got to know her birth mother.
She has swept away from the Arabian Sea all the way to the Pacific well before she even knew how to swim.
Being one of the only brown kids in a school full of blonde hair and fake tan taught her how to master the art of blending in with the background.
With a loss of her origin and a desire to know more, join Inayah as she attempts to fill in all the blanks about who she is or rather who she could've been.
However, even if she wants to, she can't do it all alone.

GASLIGHTER is a story centred on self-discovery. It touches on sensitive topics such as sexual assault, self-harm, colourism, racism and most importantly what it means to be a young woman of colour in a world where colour isn't appreciated.

As an ethnic minority myself this holds a very special place in my heart and I hope it will become the same for you too :)
