Julia, just months from becoming a full-werewolf, is now halfway through her pregnancy, has officially hooked up with the father of her babies ...sort of... and on the run from the Alpha that destroyed her Pack. Her Pack, having escaped an attempt to destroy them and having suffered some terrible loss in the process, have abandoned their home that they've owned for generations and are following her Alpha to a an Island in Australia, with new werewolves, new wildlife, new slang, and isolation. Beautiful safe isolation. Julia hopes this means it's the end of stress, fights or conflict for her and her babies. Hopes this will be a fun adventure. That nothing will go wrong and that from now on, the pregnancy, the werewolf thing and the babies will be all easy sailing. Right? Safe territory, safe Pack, hospital with drugs within plane or boat ride, and she's hooked up with a good looking guy who she adores. That's all a girl wants, right? So why does she feel so uneasy and uncertain about all of this?Complete

When Ivy Livingston woke up on a normal Wednesday morning in November, she didn't know that was the last time she would see her little sister, her cat, or her best friend Chloe. She had no idea that Anthony Wilson, the freak that she had been bullying since middle school, would bring his father's rifle to school and kill Ivy and four of her classmates before pressing the gun to his own skull. And she definitely couldn't predict that the afterlife was no more than a simple waiting room, where she would wait while the Celestial Bureaucracy decided whether she would go to Heaven or Hell. Ivy already knows that this isn't going to be easy. She's a borderline case, so it might take a while for the panel of judges to make their decision. She just hopes that she doesn't end up like that guy who's still waiting for his number to be called after two hundred years. I ran downstairs into the living room, my heart pounding as I found all my brothers gathered around Nefeli. Her eyes were frantic, scanning the room, desperately searching for me. The scream that bastard had let out earlier must have reached her... The moment our eyes met, she practically threw herself at me, wrapping her arms around me so tightly I could barely breathe. I stood frozen for a moment, unsure of what to do. I hugged her back anyway... Even though I had no idea what was going on. "Thank God you're safe" she murmured in my ear, her voice trembling, leaving me even more confused. I glanced at my brothers. They all looked just as lost as I was. Except for Aiden and Alex. They were motioning for me to hold on. "Of course I'm okay, Nefeli. What happened?" I asked, my heart tightening. I hated seeing her like this, so worried and panicked. "I-I heard Alex and Aiden talking in Italian!" she stammered, her eyes wide with panic. "They said something about the Mafia! Are we being threatened by the Mafia?" Her voice cracked, and tears threatened to spill from her brown eyes. The room fell silent for a moment. My brothers exchanged looks, and then, without warning, we all burst into laughter. Nefeli stared at us, completely confused. Cole, finally calming down, wiped his eyes and looked at her with a smile. "Love" he said, his voice smooth, "we're not being threatened by the Mafia." he let the words settle in the air for a second. He says, twisting the arrow and snapping it in half with his bare hands. I can't help myself. His oblivious expression is too funny and I burst into laughter. Axel grins and grabs my hand. I notice the action but don't say anything. But his hand feels right in mine. Now Ivy has to live with the friend she cannot taste again. She is losing her mind because she has to exercise something called control in regards to the enigma that is Chastity. One that has invaded her completely. One that has her questioning the small touching and the sinful looks.
