• BOOK 1 OF THE ESZTAR SERIES • Reaching upstairs, he hurled me inside his room and closed the door harshly. I stood there shaking with fear. He looked scary. Extremely scary. He tilted his head, forming an evil grin on his face. I couldn't move. I stayed riveted to my spot silently begging him for mercy. Everything went wrong tonight. He was going to take out all the aggression on me. He always did that. To make it worse, no one was there in the house to save me. I opened my mouth to speak but was roughly slammed against the wall in a heartbeat. It happened in less than a second. My chest was pressed against his and my hands were pinned above with his one hand clasping both of my wrists while the other hand snaked around my waist, holding me in place. "What are you doing?" I let out an incredulous whisper. "Showing you the right way to dominate." And with that, he smashed his lips over mine. ~~~ Life is perfect. Until it all goes downhill. For Vittoria, it was when four insanely hot mafias kidnapped her. Vittoria Andress, a normal girl finds herself thrown into the world of mafias. "Go ahead, but Rose..." He starts to whisper and I swear there was probably a sparkle in my eyes as I cover my mouth to muffle my giggle. I grab one of the old-fashion bows and a pack filled with arrows. Axel arms encircle around me and I smirk. We were standing so close. I could feel him breathe practically. "Rosalina!" R calls out. "Shh!" Axel shushes me as I try so hard not to laugh at what I'm about to do next. R turns, his back to us. "Now, now!" Whispers Axel quickly. I draw the arrow and aim for R's hair. We've practiced this many times before, Axel and I, in his room. The action seems to fluid, so natural. I let go of the arrow and it flies towards R. R turns and grabs it with his quick reflexes. He stares at it, turning it over it his hands. His eyebrows furrow as he sniffs it and they shoot up in surprise when he realizes the scent. "Rose, this wasn't funny." He says, twisting the arrow and snapping it in half with his bare hands. I can't help myself. His oblivious expression is too funny and I burst into laughter. Axel grins and grabs my hand. I notice the action but don't say anything. But his hand feels right in mine. "Come on, let's go before he kills us." ______________________________ 16-year old, Rosalina Hunter's life is everything but usual. For one, her life is in constant danger from being friends with a vampire and that's not the worst of it. Without R (Reynolds), her most trusted protector, how is Rose suppose to protect herself from all these vamps? And what is it with her parents Rachel and Steven and the secrets they keep? I ran downstairs into the living room, my heart pounding as I found all my brothers gathered around Nefeli. Her eyes were frantic, scanning the room, desperately searching for me. The scream that bastard had let out earlier must have reached her... The moment our eyes met, she practically threw herself at me, wrapping her arms around me so tightly I could barely breathe. I stood frozen for a moment, unsure of what to do. I hugged her back anyway... Even though I had no idea what was going on. "Thank God you're safe" she murmured in my ear, her voice trembling, leaving me even more confused. I glanced at my brothers. They all looked just as lost as I was. Except for Aiden and Alex. They were motioning for me to hold on. "Of course I'm okay, Nefeli. What happened?" I asked, my heart tightening. I hated seeing her like this, so worried and panicked. "I-I heard Alex and Aiden talking in Italian!" she stammered, her eyes wide with panic. "They said something about the Mafia! Are we being threatened by the Mafia?" Her voice cracked, and tears threatened to spill from her brown eyes. The room fell silent for a moment. My brothers exchanged looks, and then, without warning, we all burst into laughter. Nefeli stared at us, completely confused. Cole, finally calming down, wiped his eyes and looked at her with a smile. "Love" he said, his voice smooth, "we're not being threatened by the Mafia." he let the words settle in the air for a second. "We are the Mafia." • • • _______________________________________________________ ⚠️ DISCLAIMER ⚠️ Mentions of abuse, violence, harsh language, bad mental health, and light depression!
