Nessie Portman has always been scared of what lurks in the dark, even now as she nears her sixteenth birthday. She scared of lots of thing like spiders, snakes, bats, frogs but the one thing that's currently scaring her is the sounds coming from under her bed.

That's how Nessie meets Johnny, the monster under her bed, the one who's been watching and scaring her since she was a baby. A friendship starts between them, together the two of them explore the underground, where Johnny lives, scare kids and get revenge on the teens who push Nessie around! But when Nessie starts to develop a crush on Johnny and starts acting more and more non-human, Nessie starts to wonder, is she turning into a monster too?
