Haley has been suicidal for almost two years. She was bullied for a while, when one day something in her snapped.

She started cutting and it skyrocketed from there. She lost her only friend Maddie that died from cancer. Her mother is a druggie and an alcoholic. And her dad left when she was a baby.

So Haley has no one left to care. She is forgotten and alone. But one day there's a new kid in school. Ethan is the new boy in tenth grade and is intrigued to get to know Haley better.

The feeling of caring is new to Haley considering she never really felt it.
