After Sophie reads the note Keefe left her she realized that she is in love with him.
As Keefe is living in the forbidden cities he finds himself missing Sophie more and more.
When Sophie is sent on a mission to a school in the forbidden cities she meets a boy and she begins to think that she is FINALLY getting over Keefe.
Keefe starts to fall for a new girl at his school, he is FINALLY getting over Sophie.

NO Mature/Explicit scenes. Keefe's forehead was searing hot against Sophie's shoulder, she pressed it harder against her, hoping to brand the feeling there. "You don't always mess things up Keefe." Unable to resist the soft tendrils tickling her fingers, she slid her fingers up the nape of his neck and into his hair. The sound he made, could have only be described as a whimpered groan, his arms pulling Sophie impossibly close to him. "I want you." Keefe's voice was strangled. "I want you so much, Sophie. I want you to be mine, I want you to look for me whenever you go into a room- the same way I look for you. I want you to think of me as soon as you wake up, and right before you go to sleep- the way I think of you. I want you to-" Emotions choked out Keefe's voice, Sophie pulled away just enough for her eyes to find his, Keefe's breath coming out in harsh jagged rasps, his eyes burned into hers with sheer desperation. Tears sprung into Sophie's as she recognized just how much Keefe needed her- a desperation that consumed him from the inside out, a feeling that reflected her own. "I'm yours." Sophie promised.
