Y/n Kenobi grew up almost her whole life at the temple just following her destiny to become a Jedi like her grandfather. But that comes to a halt with the destruction of her only home and the disappearance of Luke, the only father figure she's ever known.

She begins to struggle with the dark side and eventually finds herself under the wing of Kylo Ren.

Y/n comes to realize that Kylo will do whatever he can to take control of the First Order and the galaxy. Including betraying her. Here starts the long difficult road of power struggles, heartbreak and broken trust. Because she is also willing to do whatever it takes to take control first.

My earliest memory is pain. Pain of losing a mother, pain of losing the love of a father, pain from the isolation that happened after the incident. I am reminded by others that what happened on that day was an accident and it wasn't my fault, but deep down I know what truly happened and so does my father and brothers. The deep self-anger and self-hate I have was slowly consuming me until I was taken away by General Organa and the Resistance. My life was beginning to look brighter, until the day I was kidnapped by the First Order. This is where my story neither begins nor ends. This is when my story becomes dark, so dark that even a Sith Lord would tremble in fear. I don't own the Star Wars universe (duh) but I do own the main character and those that are not from SW. There will be spoilers, but the storyline might diverge a bit from the original plot from the films.

Immediately following the events of The Last Jedi, the battle for the galaxy continues between the First Order and the last of the Resistance. As the new Supreme Leader takes the throne, the First Order is focused on finding and destroying all who oppose them. The Resistance had disappeared into hiding and desperation has forced them to explore the gray areas of war. Meanwhile, on opposite sides of the war, Rey and Kylo Ren are forced to face the realities of their bond, their complicated relationship, their loyalty to their causes, and their understanding of the Force. Could their star-crossed connection be tied to the fate of the galaxy? This is a slow burn! Enemies to friends to lovers. This story continues the arcs and themes beautifully woven through The Last Jedi, as well as the narrative from the previous two trilogies. All plot elements are intended to be canon-compliant through TLJ. This is 100% complete. It was completed in December 2019 on A03 before The Rise of Skywalker was released, so this is not a "fix-it" fic as much as an alternative to Episode IX. This is a dark story.
