He returns in the evening and he gives her a big bunch of green bangles tied with a string. Her eyes shine looking at it and she gives a bright smile. So many? For me? (She asks with a smile) He nods with a smile and gives her a kiss on her cheek. She looks at him and smiles. She didn't show discomfort and he felt elated about it. He then gave her a flower garland which was wrapped in a banana leaf. It had some fresh jasmine flowers and a few son-champa flowers. Son-Champa? (She smells) My favourite, it's fragrance is so nice. He looked at her brightest smile and put his hand around her waist from behind pulling her closer. He kept his chin on her shoulder and whispered near her ears. You liked it? Yes, I liked it. You are so nice. He was happy. From "that groom is dirty" to "You are so nice" made him feel elated and accomplished at the progress. He sensuously kissed her neck and she quivered and turned around immediately. It's ticklish (she said smilingly) He sighs as she had not revolted. He pulls her veil down off her head, takes the flowers from her hand and tucks it in her head carefully. She ran and looked into the small mirror in the room happily. He goes again closer to her and takes the mirror from her hand and hangs it back on the wall. He cups her face and looks at her. You look gorgeous and smell great. She smiles and he pecks her lips. He felt excited because she didn't push him this time. He pulls her back and smooches with passion that's when she pushes him away and wipes her mouth with the back of her hand. Her smile vanished and she made a crying face. She pulled out the flowers from her hair and gave it to him. I don't want your flowers. You are dirty, you made my mouth jhoota again. She sat looking at the big mirror blushing and thinking about her groom, she didn't even know his name. She eagerly waited for him to come and take her with him to his home, to their home. She was thinking what he would say, what his voice sounded like, what he would call her and how would she react to his actions. The things which she had never imagined in her life about marriage, home, romance, relationship etc., she was thinking about it all today. She hears the door open and she closes her eyes, her head bowed down, cheeks blushed while her chest heaved up and down due to heavy breathing. She hears a voice talking to her from a bit far. She had her back to him. "Hi, Thanks a lot. If you hadn't come, then I would have been on the streets. You really did a good job. The director was impressed with your improvisation though the role was small." She was confused, what is her groom speaking about. She opens her eyes and turns around to see him. Her face falls, it was not her husband. He hands an envelope to her and thanks her before he leaves. She takes the envelope still confused. She thinks - Oh! This must be a wedding gift from his friend. But what was he speaking about, I couldn't understand anything ... Marriage was not on her list but when it happened, it happened in a strange way.
