Seraphina was a calculated assassin that didn't ask questions because when she did she paid with it in pain. Raised by torture and forced to kill she became the best at her job. That all changed when a mysterious explosion killed the last witches freeing her. She woke up six months later in a hospital bed covered in scars and her magic gone.
That was four years ago. She believes her magic was taken as punishment for her sins. She's made a life for herself from blood and pain but now it's under attack by him. She'll die before she allows anyone to ever control her again. Even if her bodies unnatural need for him fights her every step of the way.
Ragnar, he's a monster, cold, ruthless and powerful. He's come to earth for answers about the threat against his world. It was supposed to be a quick mission. That was until her. She's weak, feral and insufferable but not even he can deny the attraction he has towards her. He wants her secrets and her soul but he doesn't understand why.
Could she hold the answers he needs to save his world or is she just a distraction sent to ruin everything.
