"Hearts, when wounded, either grow dependent on love or resistant of it. Love can become an addiction, or it can be one's kryptonite. Once a person has experienced love, real, true, binding love, our hearts are never the same. Forever transformed and attached in a form to the one who gave us this love, or who deprived us of it."

Maggie is a firm cynic of love. Less than fortunate circumstances concerning love have shaped her into a hater of love, letting it consume her identity. She has committed herself to a life void of love, positive or negative. But when a certain curious boy named Graham is thrust suddenly into her life, Maggie is forced to re-evaluate every thought and preconception she's held about love, and is compelled to make a decision: let love in or continue fighting it.
