A Surprise Baby in the CEO's Arms by Kyo-Wilder
13 parts Ongoing Mature
When Elara was ten, her family collapsed and she was quietly folded into Jonas's world as his supposed "little sister." To her, Jonas was more than a guardian; he was first love, the secret she kept beneath her ribs. She watched him move through life with a confidence she could only admire from afar, learning to treasure small mercies as if they were miracles. At twenty, everything broke. One drunken night Jonas kissed her-an impulsive, confusing violation that read like permission and betrayal all at once. By morning his engagement was announced and by midnight he'd arranged for her to leave the country. He cut contact with the kind of finality that felt like erasure. Six years later, Elara returns-not to beg, but to reclaim the life she's built for her daughter, Lila. She has worked hard, learned to be fiercely self-reliant, and guarded the truth about Lila's father. Running into Jonas at the company where fate plants them both detonates the fragile order they each maintain. He sees the child and demands, stunned and raw, "Give me a plausible explanation-whose child is this?" That question upends them both. For Elara, Lila is survival and dignity. For Jonas, the child is a scandal that could shatter family reputation and the neat certainties he's lived by. This is a slow-burn second-chance romance about motherhood, pride, and whether two people shaped by the same past can find a new future without losing themselves.

Quote : You are like a rose, so beautifully tempting but the second I came within your space, I was pricked by your sharp, cruel thorns. You drowned me in your toxins, like you were a drink of poison that I kept drinking even when my own heart couldn't take it. You were an ocean that sank me in sorrows. Like the sun, you burned me and left unhealed wounds on my skin, blinding me with your beauty just to leave me reduced to burnt ashes.

Saar has been a part of the Beaumont family ever since they took her in after her parents' death when she was just five years old. Growing up, she never felt like she fully belonged, especially because of the Beaumonts' world that consisted of power, influence, and the ever present violence. What happens when the 'lost' eldest son of the family finally decides to show up? Will he and Saar get along? Will Saar find out the truth about her parents and find her place in the world of intrigues and violence she was forcefully thrown into? She had spent two years convincing herself that if she was never to see him again, she would be okay. It was easier than the howling hope, confused longing and pondering the endless what ifs. Easier than admitting to herself the odd frequency at which he appeared in her thoughts. It was easier to push it all away. Her entire life, he had been a gust of smoke, a constant in her life but never truly there. A myth. Two years ago, when he came back like an unexpected storm, the illusion of him was suddenly becoming real, taking a form. But it had vanished just as quickly as it came with him gone again, leaving her even emptier and more rattled than before. But now, standing there, his eyes wandered all over her as if checking for all the things he remembered, all the things that stayed the same and those that changed. Drinking her in just like she was desperate to take in all of him, afraid he would disappear in a blink if she didn't.

The world showed her no mercy in it's ways so why should she. ~~~ I let out a small sigh wanting more of this. I wanted to be held like this whenever I felt broken. Feel the way he puts me back together in his arms. It ate at my heart and I could have sworn I felt a feathery kiss on my head. It was as if he could hear my thoughts and was kissing them away for me. Slowly he lets one hand go, the other staying around me as he brings my chin up to him gently wiping my last tears as more fill my eyes. He sees this and his eyes look... crumbled. If you feel this way then why can't you choose me, Dominic. I shake my head from his hands wishing to step back but he pulls me back to him a pain filled groan leaving him. "Just one more minute. Please." His body shook and I brought him closer, feeling our pain become one. Our hurricanes of minds pull away even for the smallest time letting us stand together as one in each other's embrace. He was it for me. But I wasn't his.

It had been fourteen years since the last time I'd seen him, and I was still his. But the Liam in front of me was different. He'd changed; I'd changed. After all the hurt, can I really just put everything aside to start again? Liam I knew she was mine; her eyes gave her away.
