If others see a monster, no matter what you do, no matter how much makeup you put on, they will continue to see a monster. People are manipulative and life is a game where you have to try to not fall in their trap. You have to live for yourself and do things that make you happy, after all you cannot please everyone, although some still try to do that; they are always deemed to fail.

Dvita always tried to please her family even at the cost of concealing her true self. Eventually she distanced herself and went out to find a whole other world that no one on earth knew about. She at first thought of telling others but why in the world should she? All society has done was treat her atrociously her entire life. She decided to live alone in that beautiful world and swore to never let anyone destroy its beauty and to forever protect it from the corruptive nature of the human kind. She continued to live like that, not exactly happy but not upset. She was fine living away from society, believing that any sort of contact with them will just make her life worse, that is until her friend opened up her eyes, and opened up her heart to love again.

The Lost Life of Laraine by BearGoRawr
56 parts Ongoing
She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.

Not Giving Into Fate

50 parts Ongoing Mature

I was the daughter of Duke Solon, I thought I was the last child. My elder brother is following in my father's stead. We were never really close. We both share my father's personality, a wedge that makes it hard for the three of us to talk to one another. It was fine, living like that, I mean. I was the daughter of the Duke, engaged to the Prince who didn't seem to care that much about the engagement. I was the Master of Ancient Magic at the Magic Tower. I had everything and I was stronger than most. The only terrible thing was that on my coming of age ceremony, it was all ruined. Catherina broke into my ball, claiming to be the daughter of some woman and my father. She looked like her mother and acted like her to gain my father's affection, society's adoration and the Prince's love. For two years she ruined me up to the point of my death. She somehow was able to frame me and villainize me as she stole my fiancé and life. She continued doing so until I somehow was framed for attempted murder. My father called me a traitor and a liar, the Prince sentenced my death and no one stopped it. I woke in my body again, 18 years old and with a plan. I don't want the Prince who will ridicule me, embarrass me and choose the woman over me. I don't care for all those who supported her over me. I had one plan. Kill her before she kills me.
