In a world of magic it is common for young witches and wizards to wake up on their tenth birthday with a soul mark that represents their soulmate and in the middle of the mark would be the initials of their partner. Many believed that the first wizards created soulmates so others may live their lives without loneliness.
For Elsa Winchester life was never had a dull lonely moment, with her dad and her uncle being hunters of the supernatural and their best friend being an angel. When Elsa woke up on her tenth birthday she not only found one soul mark but two. Both with similar design and same last initial.
The Winchesters knew witches existed but they didn't know was that Elsa was a witch. Their lives were soon going to get a little more interesting.

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. As the secrets and mysteries pile up around her while her past threatens to expose itself, Aurora will have to overcome insurmountable odds and decide who she can trust as her life hangs in the balance.
