Who am I? Who am I supposed to be? The main question is...WHAT AM I!? You don't know? Well... I don't know either... So I will just introduce you to what I know about myself...

Hi! I'm Ayu and I am a student at a school which has brought hope for humanity. A school that's meant for people with extraordinary abilities. Superpowers,. I mean. This is the school that can shape the young Supes into Superheroes. You see, for almost 12 years. Humanity was completely helpless, because superheroes couldn't save them for long. So... They all disappeared. Heaven knows to where and why.

Like I said before, this school is meant for the youths with superpowers. Well I... don't have any superpowers... or rather I don't  remember having any superpower whatsoever. If fact, most of my memories are...just a blur. But now, at the age of 22, I don't know how nor why, but I think I do have superpowers. If I could, I would give an explanation but I'm still working on that myself. So why not join me on this adventure as I try to find out who I really am, and where I came from. So what do you think? Am I really cut out to be a superhero or...Am I just as weak as how everyone says I am?

A/N: Hi This is Carly! The writer of Halcyon Son, the first ever story I've written as a kid. This was written back in 2013, when I was around 9 years old & bursting with creativity. I found this years later and decided to share the chapters but... of course, kid me never got to make it to the ending. If you want me to continue the story though, it'll have to go through an entire rewrite now that I have gotten better at writing over the years. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. No one will believe it was me who disappeared into a fence and appeared on the other side of school. I stare at my brother. He made eye contact with me, confirming my suspicions. We both saw it. You want to know, don't you? Then simply allow your mind to go wondering into this book and discover the secrets behind the boy who no one knows. (This book is a representation of my experiences with dating someone with depression in high school. I wrote it while we were dating, subconsciously writing him into the character Infinity. I will say that I intend to rewrite this at some point to send a better message, as I feel some of the actions in this book are unhealthy reactions to depression, that I have a much better perspective of now) [I'm also working on a VN based on this story.... Before you read any of this, please know that I hate how I wrote this book and there's are major plot holes. I want to rewrite it but I can't find any motivation. I wouldn't suggest reading if you can't stand a couple confusing parts. Also there's supposed to be a sequel but this book was so shitty I can't stand to make one. ~~~~~~~~ "I never thought that something as simple as choosing to walk home instead of getting a ride would change my life so drastically." ------- Charisma Jones was just another kid who never spoke out. She wasn't shy, nor was she outspoken. She kept to herself. She was stepped on at school and bullied by those who thought she was "weird" or "a freak". She allowed them to do it, not wanting to draw anymore attention to herself. She was fine with her life how it was. But it all changed the night she left the party without a ride. ------- "I sped up walking when the car slowed down beside me. When it stopped fully I started panicking. I sprinted down the street enveloped in darkness. I thought I lost the creepy car when I heard a pop and felt a stab of pain in my side. Looking down I saw the bright feathers of a dart and my vision turned black." ------- She was altered. Now, she's back with a grudge to all those people who were cruel to her and this time, she not going to back down.

I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. I look at all the men in the group who had their jaws dropped, all except for one, "Touch me one more time, and I'll brake your arm in two." I stand and kick his back so he falls on the concert. "Anyone else?" they stare at me blankly. "Didn't think so." When fuck boy tries to get up, I take my foot and slam him back down. Looking back at the boys, I say, "Later boys." Then, I turn and leave. ~~~~ Truce Mane is a girl who recently moved to New York with her youngest niece and nephew along with her uncle Mike. Truce went through many things as a child. She still went through them. Her mother blamed her for everything. She would get into Street fights. As in, she would fight in a dark alley with whoever she could. Sounds bad, huh? Wrong. *** Dante Kings is the most feared gang leader across the world. While he does have his fuck and Chuck's, he's been looking for his princess. He vowed that when he found her, she'd be his and he would treat her like a queen. When the spit fire moves to town and believes he's finally found her. Has he?

Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.
