Two years before Harry Potter became The Boy Who Lived, there was a child. One who was forced to bear the sins of his parents. As such, he was forced into a new identity. Cornelius Fudge-the eventual Minister of Magic-wants the kid to be left in the Muggle world. Under no circumstances is he to learn about the Magical world if he had his way.
Unfortunately for him, those who take him in don't listen to idiots. Neither does Dumbledore, so they came up with a plan. A plan that all parties involved hoped never needed to be activated. But they will have help should the worst come to pass.
