Because of countless traumatizing events she had experienced from the past, Serena Langley is now a lone wolf. She grew cold and distant from people, especially from girls around her age. Students from her university have long given up trying to get inside her bubble. -everyone but James Elliott, the warmest and most gentle person on earth, well, at least according to the ladies. Only James had the guts to come near her, and Serena doesn't seem to mind when he offers to accompany her every now and then. Rumors are going out and about in the campus that they're actually dating. Though she had no friends, she was contented with her life and tries hard to keep it as mundane as she has always wanted it to be, until a certain Sebastian Villaluz came into her life. The angst bad boy who claims to have fallen in love at first sight with her and is eager to do anything just to get Serena to go out with him.  But Serena knows Sebastian all too well to just put her her guard down so easily. After all, they were childhood friends.
