Military secrets, mysterious voices, dark magic, and suddenly Jacob Declo finds himself tangled in a war. As a non-magical, small town hero, his only focus was to defy the Law and help the people.
Apparently defying the Law wasn't the best idea...
When he and his friends get caught breaking curfew for the third time they get to meet two high ranking Lieutenants. Suddenly he's not just a small town hero. Lieutenant West and Lieutenant Baneswolf have a special mission, one that somehow requires him. He certainly didn't mean to get caught up in all of this, but he was more connected with it than he ever would have known.

This is an original work, I swear the actual reading is better than the description. This takes place in a whole other interstellar system. Hopefully everything makes sense. I like to call this mix of science and magic: science-fantasy.
Will include language/profanities, and injuries(not overly descriptive but still), if either bother you then skip over this :)
Enjoy!

"Everyone loves a good fantasy, but my life was turned upside down by one." What would you do if you had the ability to control the air? How about if you were suddenly brought to a world where, despite your powers, you're at the bottom of the food chain? On a fateful night, Max Walker finds himself summoned to Asterisk and contracted to Liliana Lockwood as her familiar. Forced to leave behind his life on Earth, Max begins a precarious journey into the unknown world of magic. Training as a knight, learning to control mana, battling rogue necromancers and even being mistaken for Duke Walker's son... it's just one thing after the next. But as if that wasn't bad enough, Asterisk, a world which subverts reality as you know it, may just have something to do with Max's own heaven-defying origin... and a secret that could leave the universe hanging by a thread. Castle Rock. A formidable laboratory housing monsters, unwilling subjects and other supernatural entities stationed deep beneath the ice of a tundra in an unknown region of a fragmented world. The place of nightmares that very few know of, the place of cruel and inhumane tests conducted on the innocent. Castle Rock at [DATA EXPUNGED], has experienced a site-wide destabilization due to the intense polar storm that currently is decimating the tundra. These storms are known to be dangerous for a plethora of reasons throughout the world. The Facility and all of it's holding cells & security stations deactivated and disabled due to the storm. Releasing everything without supervision. Hence, this phenomenon being called "Destabilization". Now, Monsters and deviants alike set free to roam. Some take matters into their own hands to escape. (Y/N) is a subject within the bowels of the facility, among the few who have the will to survive. Though, with little knowledge of their own past and current situation, (Y/N) finds some friends along the way. All hoping to find an escape. This story is a little gay, just a little. Hope you enjoy reading, give me any and all feedback The story will randomly transition between reader POV and (Y/N) POV at times. It's subtle, so pay attention. [Sometimes scenes will say "We did (something) and other times [You did (something). It's all the same. Just different POVs Melee killing is violent and gory on purpose. None of the art shown belongs to me. Inspired from various video games. Melee Combat directly based on Decaying Winter Slightly inspired by Rogue Lineage. Gender-neutral reader.
