"Promise of the Wolves" is the first book in "The Wolf Chronicles" trilogy, which tells the story of how the wolf became the dog from the wolf's point of view. It's narrated by Kaala, a young wolf living 14,000 years ago, who saves the life of a human child, causing chaos for her back, and starting on a path that will lead to the saving or destruction of wolfkind.
