"In the blink of an eye, her radiant smile ensnared him" * I braced myself for the revelation that would shatter my world. My heart constricted as the truth began to sink in. "What is my truth?" I whispered, my voice trembling. "The life I've known since birth, or the secrets hidden in plain sight?" Tears welled up in my eyes as I gazed upward, feeling crushed. In the midst of luxury and privilege, the past lays awake. Nathan Crooks, son of a wealthy and charismatic figure, conceals a dark past- an open scar, a constant reminder of death's grip. He crafted his fierce persona through years of pain and discipline making his reputation precede him, striking fear into the hearts of those who cross his path. Yet, a slip occurs. A rivalry between his past and present unfolds, as he collides with the newcomer who ignites a spark within. This newcomer threatens to challenge the very foundations of his carefully constructed world. Roselyn Williams, the bright and stunning youngest daughter of the Williams' appears to have it all- wealth, loving family, intelligence and grace. Beneath her polished exterior, lies a hidden pain she's carefully suppressed, refusing to let it define her. With years of being hidden away from the public eye by her parents as a form of protection, she has grown accustomed to a simple life, until she crosses paths with Nathan Crooks, Stanford Hills High's most feared student. When Roselyn and Nathan collide, their different worlds ignite a spark. Through a maze of secrets and unresolved emotions, fueled by mutual animosity, the truth begins to unravel and masks torn apart. Will they find solace in each other, or will the shadows of their pasts tear them apart? This is a world where a tale of love, deception, and self-discovery, is explored. *Warning* No part of my book should be taken or used without my permission.

~ongoing~ Andrea Wren had experienced countless setbacks in her life, the greatest of them all being the loss of her parents in a hit-and-run. The unsolved mystery tormented her for years, she believed that there was more than the court revealed. Now that things are eventually looking up and she has a lead on the case, an intimidating man lurking in the shadows gets in her way. There was nothing soft about him. Not his voice, not his stare, and definitely not the way he moved, like every step had already been plotted ten moves ahead. Though they start off on the wrong foot, the walls between them soon begin to crack and a reluctant alliance is initiated. With glares turning into secret glances and an irresistible attraction binding them, something more is bound to arise. ◕ ◕ ◕ He smirked, the kind that curled with trouble, and slowly leaned in, his eyes locked on mine, unblinking. My breath hitched as I braced myself against the desk behind me, my fingers curling around the edge. His gaze flicked to my lips, a fleeting loaded glance, before he abruptly turned away stepping back just far enough to make me ache for air. "If you keep this up," he murmured, voice low and edged with heat, "I might just kiss that smart mouth of yours." I pushed off the desk, circling around him, my tone firm but my knees anything but steady. "I'm being serious here." "So am I." There was something darker in his eyes now, something unreadable and electric. My skin tingled with warning. Before I could figure out what had shifted, he moved. ~weekly updates~
