Alice Macro's life was simple. Key word: was. Once their little remaining family is claimed by a horde of the undead, they believed all hope was lost, until finding a cryptic note from their older brother. He was alive. With what little knowledge they gained from an odd manual, Alice - and their Repeater, Sweetpea - set out into the apocalyptic Neighborville in search for their lost brother.

Note: While this story is accessible to all who enjoy Plants vs. Zombies, I recommend having completed the first game - as well as having read some of the official comics - to get a full enjoyment of this story.

Her back flashed with sharp pain. Her eyes pricked with fear as she drank in his uncovered face. Deeply tanned skin. Ruby red eyes-ruby red eyes? Thick, slashing eyebrows. Flat, broad nose. Buzzcut. Handsome. That was as far as she would go in complimenting him considering this guy held a knife to her throat. When he spoke, his voice came out like thunder. It held a thousand threats and a thousand secrets. It held promise of pain if provoked. "If you scream," he warned, mouth pulled in a slight snarl, "this ends quickly." She didn't dare nod against the blade. He noticed and amusement lit up for just a second in those devilish eyes. Oh, whoever the fuck this was, she already hated him. Considering her predicament, panic was the most prominent emotion coursing through her at the moment. "Good." He just so happens to be set on getting tacos at the most obscure place in town. With nowhere else to turn, Alice joins him and his spunky plant friend. Will they get the tacos? Probably, I dunno.
