Evil lurks in the depths. Trading ships are being boarded, ransacked and overrun by pirates. The Empress of Cyronos calls upon King Brodon of Ceraborn, her most powerful ally in the Western Kingdoms, to help stop these terrible acts. However, when vessels begin to disappear and the bodies of sailors begin to wash up with vicious wounds, it would appear that something much darker is lurking in these busy trading waters. Meanwhile, in the West, The Black Archers of Ceraborn ride South to track down a lost friend whilst also becoming embroiled in the dark deceptions and mysteries that are brewing in the Kingdoms. Dark magic and evil sorcery is rumoured to have been discovered, and a young girl begins to learn of her true purpose in all that is going on around her...
