This story is only about part one of the beginning of the end of life as we know it. Destiny has seen our future, and knows that the end of humanity as we know it is over. Out of desperation he sends darkness to Earth in order to start a new Dark Age which, if started, will save humanity from its own devices. 
Fin Esili, an 18 year old that goes to New York University, is chosen in the midst of the destruction of New York City to be the Lord of the Dark Age. He is forced to accept this reality when he is kidnapped by those he was supposed to lead, and trained to be the leader that will wipe out human civilization. 
Fin is told that there is another way to save humanity, but the only to accomplish it would be sacrificing himself and all of his followers. Could Fin make such a choice?All Rights Reserved

However, unlike most, they couldn't care less about why the world was ending. The two just wanted a place to lay low and make art. Sure, it was totally uncool that towns and cities all over the world were being burned to the ground due to mass hysteria, but the lovers were filled with enough positive vibes (and a decent amount of weed) that they vowed to make this whole 'end-of-the-world thing' work. Little did they realize that the fall of humanity would prove to be the most significant test of their twelve-year relationship. This surreal short story begins four months after the collapse first started, with the ostensibly lackadaisical couple only now managing to find a suitable shelter. Despite the safe haven, the chaotic cacophony of this cataclysmic event still lingers just on the other side of the walls. So, the lovers resolve to ward off the inevitable melancholy that usually follows such tragedies by simply ignoring the events outside, hoping that will keep their relationship (and sanity) from falling apart, unlike the rest of the world.
