Nuncle just wants to be left alone--by nosy neighbors, by strangers, but most importantly by his library book which won't stop yelling at passersby.  Nuncle's fate becomes intertwined with the book's when the two are bound by magical contract.  Somehow, the gnome must find the courage to face the evil Librarians and win freedom for the both of them.
