'Sirius grabbed James by the arm to pull him closer, then put each of his arms around Remus's and James's shoulders...
"Well, boys," James said from Sirius's left. "We've made it. We're here."
All three boys looked around as the thought went through them. Remus's heart swelled as he realized, after everything he did to get here, he was finally at Hogwarts. He had just eaten his first meal in the Great Hall and he was about to go find his dorm room. It was better than Remus had expected it would have gone, too. Remus had already made not one, but two friends. And they seemed nice enough for him.'

The Marauders meet at the beginning of their first year, unaware of their amazing, confusing, sad, and happy future. They travel through this new beginning with one another, supporting each other and making each other feel at home. They have created a bond they cannot break. They have built a dynasty.
