Hill's Peak High senior Reyna Stephens is your typical girl next door. Her life has been a routine everyday, expecting nothing but the same shenanigans. That is, until the house next door is sold and bought by the new family in town- the Josephs.

Suddenly, Rey's normal life isn't so normal anymore after meeting Aubrie Joseph and her brothers Carter and River. Immediately, River pushes Rey's buttons like no one else has done before and she declares from the moment they meet to hate him.

A night on the town changes everything. Reyna gets attacked and is on deaths door, but a hotheaded boy saves her life and unknowingly connecting Rey's life with his. From then on Reyna starts to notice strange things when around the Josephs as well as the secretive behavior between them.
