I grabbed my glass, sliding hers to her and taking a long drink as she hesitantly reached out to take her glass. I watched her staring at the brown liquid in the glass, looking to be debating. "It will help with the pain you're in," I decided to say, making her look up at me. There was something in the depths of her eyes, something that nearly made me shiver. Then she looked back at the glass, tilting it to her lips and downing the entire contents. I was surprised, seeing her clench her eyes shut, her lips in a firm line. "Why did you have them brand me?" she finally asked, setting her glass back on the table before meeting my gaze. "Marking you," I replied. *************************************** *************************************** Evelyn has given up on life as an upstanding citizen when she is taken by unknown men with cash to burn. She's forced into a life she had escaped years ago and was not looking forward to going back to. A life that was full of bullets, blood and a whole lot of mafia men and women. Agent Sean Evans, an ex school mate of Kent and a total goofball.Last time they were under the same roof, Kent wanted to kill him for a girl. But while on a mission when he almost dies, he is saved by someone with a very accurate shot. He meets another assassin from a different agency, something he's never known of before. Of course seeing how skilled and attractive the other assassin is, he can't really just let him go... Quackity works for a different agency that wants to be better than all the rest, that means more missions and more training, most importantly: more rich. It takes a very long time to get up in the ranks and he has proven his worth there.
