Kendra is a fierce-willed, stubborn, proud girl with an ego hidden in her mind from others. When she and everyone else she knows is transported to another world where shape shifters rule, she becomes overly determined to show off herself. Especially to her crush, who seems to be falling for a felid.

With the newly given power of shape-shifting, she is determined to get him back, despite being separated, and she goes on a quest to find him and claim him. But first she must survive through the troubles she faces in her genus as a mysterious assassin sets out to kill her.

Soon, she meets a group of boys transported to the new dimension with her, exiled from their genus's and plotting to exact their revenge. Finished with her journey, she finds out that a supposedly non-existent race of shifters begin to appear. Unknowingly, Kendra has the answer to who has caused the trouble.
