Jake never wanted to make fun of zander or his friends,he only wanted to "fit in" with his friends,Jake regret all his actions and decide to join the club in order to get close to Zander because since then,he had a little crush on zander but he know it won't be easy for zander to forgive him,Zander will be always so annoyed around Jake.Jake was so helpless and then zander will be calling him names,push him away,roll his eyes around Jake,Then one word "Dead" made Jake so worthless and self-harm himself and hide away from everyone,Jake will be bully from his friends,then Jake wanted to end his life in order to take all this pain away,Zander noticed Jake actions and felt very guilty so he wanted to help Jake,then Zander started to have feeling for him.

This is a TMF story idea I came up with after watching Rosy's version of the So Sad Meme that gave a bit of insight of Zander's backstory. I thought it would be cool to make a fanfic that reflected on his past since its interested me a lot since Rosy posted this video giving a bit of indication of how Zander's parents may have separated (not gonna say how cause I don't wanna spoil anything 😅). Everything on Zander's backstory in this story are all just head canons I've come up with for it based on the meme and my own ideas so please bare that in mind when reading.
