Never receiving much attention from his dad Naruto, Boruto resorted to being a troublemaker just to get attention he seeks.
He does everything but nothing seems to work, his parents especially Naruto have had enough with his antics after his latest scheme of using a scientific ninjutsu tool at the chunin exam when it was specifically said things like that were forbidden.

Tired of everything and realizing that he'll never be good enough for him to get his dad's attention Boruto does the unthinkable.
He renounce his loyalty to the village and becoming a rogue ninja.
