Skyelar Bishop had a really great life before the invasion. But once the aliens invaded, her life changed; and not for the better. At the start, it was just her and her little sister, Lucy. One night, Lucy is taken by the Skitters, the aliens seemed to keep the children to turn them into their mindless slaves. Skyelar is reunited with her second family, the Masons, only to find out that her best friend, Ben, is MIA. So, 6 months into the alien invasion, Skyelar is doing all she can as a soldier of the 2nd Massachusetts, to get her family back. It's not an easy journey to get them back, and it's not any easier after they get Lucy and Ben back.
