spiderweb is a story written in free verse and prose that begins where most stories don't-the end. at the end of the book a girl is being judged by unamed persons about something she did; something she knows is terrible 

but what did she do? 

and why did she do it? 

chapter by chapter, the girl reveals the events and thoughts that culminated to this mysterious sin
