"And what if I don't?" You ask defiantly. He comes up closer to you at that remark, close enough so you're the only one that could hear him. Close enough that he hovers over you, pressing your back against the wall. "Then, I'd pull you into the bathroom and make sure you wouldn't be able to sit for the rest of the case." His words are low, bringing out the deeper rumble to his voice. It sends shivers down your spine. "Understand?" "Yes," you scoff. "Yes, what?" "Yes, sir." ______________ Your relationship with your boss has always been complicated, to say the least. You've seen each other at your highest and lowest. You're both incredibly stubborn and unwilling to relinquish control. Yet, you still find him slightly cocky and arrogant. You find yourself defying him at every available turn on cases in an attempt to prove yourself. In turn, he finds you a bit bothersome. But what happens when over time, these complicated feelings fade into something even more complicated. Something that feels less like annoyance and more like adoration. Something that forces you both to face your greatest fear: losing control.
