"You see that star?" He asks, his arm just glancing mine. I follow his hand to a small speck in the sky, brightly shinning down. "Yeah," I say, gazing up. "Do you know how long it's been in that sky?" He asks, turning to look at me. His eyes hold a question that I don't know how to answer. "Older than us, I suppose," I say, looking back up at the twinkling lightly, illuminating the blackness. "Way older, thousands of years older!" He exclaims, waving his hands for emphasis. "But you know what? Even if that star is some thousand years old, probably already died out, we still remember it. It's still there, right in front of us." "It is," I agree with a small nod, glancing at him. He sighs and turns to face me. His hand grabs mine, my eyes trailing down to look at them. "No matter how long it takes, a thousand years, I'll still be here. So will you." I look up to him and our eyes meet. Red meets pink, and I knew he was right. Because even if the world forgot his name; I never would. All Rights Reserved
