Rissillo loses his brother after learning his father, who had brought them many problems and killed there mother, has been killed. A shadow hunter from the city of Mongolia to his surprise ask's him to be his apprentice, and if he accepts he'll have to prove himself worthy enough to stay as his apprentice yet if he doesn't hes surely to die since he was already loosing the survival challenge in the city he was lost in. After making his decision he has many challenge's to conquer and many decisions to make, how much longer does Rissillo have before he realizes he may not live for as long as he wants?
