First of; I don't own NCIS nor do I own any of the characters from the show. The only character that I do consider owning is my own made up one - Olivia Gray.
This story is based off of s3. Jennifer Shepard is the new Director, and Ziva has found her place in the team. Gibbs and his team are working perfectly together but now - most to Gibbs' dislike - he is ordered to have a new agent on his team. He has all the people he trusts, so why does he need more agents? It annoys him and makes it difficult for the new Agent to feel somewhat welcomed but that is not a surprise, right?
The surprise is that Gibbs and her have met before way back and yet they don't really know each other.
The cases keep coming and the team is working like never before.
Join in on this drama filled, dangerous, loving and humorfilled adventure of the team alongside Gibbs finding himself in some trouble with certain women that cross his paths, making it somehow awkward for the 'Boss' at times.

It's sort of a Tiva story masquerading as a Ziva/Ray fanfic. I'm 100% a Tiva fan (or was- thank you, CBS), but I also can't help but get the feels for Ziva and Ray's behind-the-scenes relationship in late season 8 and early season 9. Something about their chemistry and Tony's whole dynamic with them makes me wonder what could have happened if Ray hadn't been part of that murder. Would he and Ziva have worked out? How would Tony cope with it? Would he be able to let Ziva go? This fanfic is me exploring an alternate plotline that probably not many NCIS fans think about. Growing up without a father was hard but having cancer was the worst part of Alexis' childhood. She's found the one man who she has spent her entire childhood dreaming about. The one man she wanted to look up to. Alexis graduated at age seventeen and is going to MIT once she graduated MIT she went straight to the marines just like her father. She wanted to go earlier but she got caught up in her MIT classes and visiting her father at NCIS. Alexis hasn't felt anything like the love she feels when she's around Special Agent Timothy McGee. The story doesn't follow the show but there are a few episodes I followed and they were kind of smushed together. I hope it doesn't bother you guys.
