Okay,in my multiverse heres a small explanation.
Nightmare and dream are half human so they have a human form (joku turned the twins human so i implied that here-)
their mother is tree spirt(a earthy human who died and became one with nature),aka rosemary. and their father is a skeleton,astro. god of balance.
their backstories are the same,the only exception is that my story is based off the grinning kittens version.
they do have an older brother named lucid,but hes fully mortal and isnt a god. so he died during the 500 years the twins were apart (he died of old age)
dream has a obvious crush on killer and nightmare has a crush on cross but its not as obvious (he favors cross more but no one suspects anything)

The Boy Who Doesn't Speak (Sans AUs) -- BEING REWRITTEN
For some reason, Ink, the Creator and Protector of the Sans AUs, has decided that some of the Sanses of the Multiverse should go to highschool again. Honestly, no one really liked the idea, especially the Bad Sanses, including Ink's enemy, Error. Prince Nightmare is one of the AUs that must repeat these years of treachery. He basically only finished his actual highschool, and is NOT looking forward to having to do it again. Luckily his brother, Prince Dream, will be coming along the journey beside him. But Nightmare and Dream Are polar opposites, so Nightmare can't really get along with his brother's friends, nor Dream get along with Nightmare's, if he had any. With rules to follow and secrets to keep, Nightmare must go through highschool and not let slip the terrible things that happen at home. But then suddenly the two princes disappear. There's no trace as to who might've taken them, either. The only one that doesn't seem concerned is their own father, the king. King Sun-Beam. What is he hiding underneath all of those jewels and fake smiles? A/N: There is lemon/smut. So all you innocent people out there-- don't worry! Otherwise, you get kicked off as it is unfair to rule alone. The only reason Ink isn't kicked off is because he has someone ruling with him. Dream & Blue. Of course, Nightmare has only been able to stall by trying to find one, seeing them as not the one, and the counter gets reset. You can't do it forever though. Now, Ink terribly naive for a protector. Of course, he was the heart. He had a place in everyone's heart- With Dream & Blue being the next. Blue being a guard, and Dream being his 'right-hand man.' Most of the time being the one helping and guiding Ink. They soon find him to be missing, captured by the demons. Panic would be spread all over the place if they were to find out Ink was missing. With this, and a limited time to work with, considering if you were to officially become a ruler of somewhere, your heart has to actually want to leave if you were to leave. Easy, all because of Alpha and Delta, the two controlling their strings, Alpha gives orders to the lights, such as Dream and Ink, while Delta gives orders to the darks, such as Error and Nightmare, both hating their opponents' side with despise. But both share a trait, they each love their assigned Gods with their fullest, even if they act harsh, they show care and affection, they are known for their appearances, both as a spirit-like element, although having no facial appearances, both are different with their lights and color, Alpha is known to have a yellow glow, and Delta is known to have a black grieving glow, usually just voices to minds though. __________________________ Warning: cussing, and touches of angstComplete

However, Dream will not help them for free; he locks eyes with Cross, and decides he wants him in exchange for the war victory. It's an easy decision, is it not? There's just one problem with this arrangement: Cross is a spy, sent by Nightmare himself. And Nightmare is absolutely unforgiving of traitors. But he cannot offend Dream, for he too is an Immortal. (Cross forgets, however, that he himself is mortal.) [OR: A Empire/Kingdoms UTMV AU, where Cross is caught between the crossfire of Immortal/Gods! Dreamtale Twins. Who have also been influenced by God!Ink and God!Error; it's a cycle, really.]

TWs!!! because I can't seem to tag them for some reason! abuse, mental health issues, torture, mental break downs, manipulation, all that fun stuff. This is NOT a lighthearted story! Nightmare had been alone in his head for the longest time. For 500 years he was able to gain more power, a castle, a gang, and a reputation of one of the most dangerous beings in the multiverse. But when Dream had broken out of stone, someone else made themselves known, someone who should have been dead. OR Corrupted Nightmare is a parasite and Passive Nightmare refuses to die.
