After the battle of Zane vs The Overlord with Cole and the other ninja's help 6 months ago, everything has been quite peaceful in Ninjago City. Zane and Cole's relationship has grown stronger and so have the others.

When Cole and Zane had discovered their power of the fusion dragon together, they had began training together to form their power together stronger than ever so they were prepared of what was going to happen in the future. However, when they were riding their dragon together, the dragon came out of control of them and was in control of something else.
