Amber has selective mutism and most people don't understand that. She gets made fun of because she's 'mute' and she doesn't talk to anyone. She doesn't have many friends due to the lack of ability to talk.

Amber has anything but an easy life. Her mother left her and her farther as soon as she was born. Her dad couldn't handle her mom being gone and he got on hardcore drugs. Maybe her life will get better, maybe not.
