I find it funny how life always continues at the same speed it always goes, regardless of what's happening around it. A girl is eating dinner, while someone is killed a block away. A man does his paperwork, while someone is raped the next room over. A mother is making her son's bed, while he's being kidnapped right outside. But these are things they will never know in the moment, because life never stops. Not for me. Not for anyone.
