Just like the rest of the Gladers, Kenna had gotten trapped in the center of the maze. When she first woke up in the maze, she had no recollection of her family, friends, or her own name. After some violent actions between her and another Glader, the others were either taken aback or impressed by her actions. There is one boy who she peaks the interest of, Newt.
