A true love needs to consume you. You need a love that overcomes anything. And when you find that love, it could slip through you fingers like water. Because with love there is a price. Giving up everything for it. Losing a few of your closest friend, your most precious pride, and everything that might have mattered to you before.
With Klaus it was love at first sight, with Caroline it was exactly the opposite. Klaus has been a vampire since the Middle Ages of Europe, he is an original. Caroline just turned about seven months ago. Klaus has never experienced love like this before, he has always believed that love was a weakness. Caroline is head over heels for Tyler Lockwood, a hybrid. Tyler is also being controlled by Klaus, because Klaus is his "creator". What happens when jealousy overpowers rational decisions? What will happen when Caroline, the one that Klaus would change for, spits right in his face? But who could blame her?
