"Only a child truly knows the terrible fury a storm can bring. I learned very young that God does not like little children who don’t come in when they’re called…"-DWR

There’s a reason why they close your eyes when you die…

Michael rode the lightning and opened his eyes upon another reality. He was once a fireman, with a beautiful wife and a wonderful life…but when he opens his eyes he reeks of bourbon and he’s proud that he has never shaved a day in his life. The memories slam into his mind's eye and he sees a past that never happened…as it threatens to overwrite the one that did.
The bluish white worms are slithering closer and it’s about to happen again…

”It’s a World Storm remember?” said the dead girl beside him.

He begins to repeat the words. The one’s that help him hold on to who he was…

"I am Michael. I am..."
"She’s your big sister." The inner voice said referring to the dead girl.

"I don't have a Big Sister. I am an only child..."

He tries again…

"I am Michael. I am a Captain in the Fire department. I am 29 years old. I have a wife…her name is Isabelle. I see her blue eyes and blond hair as it flashes in the sun…"

"Here… your wife’s name is Amanda."

Some things are never meant to be seen.
