*THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION. ANY RELATION OF THE CHARACTERS OR SITUATIONS TO REAL LIFE ARE NOT INTENTIONAL AND ANY SIMILARITIES TO REAL LIFE ARE A RESULT OF COINCIDENCE* ---------- ""Mayuri, I don't want you to feel like you're ever alone," I couldn't tell, but I know X was holding his tears or something back. He was hiding something from me, but I couldn't tell what it was. "I don't want to hang up until you feel sleepy or want to rest. For as long as I've known you Mayuri, I know you hate being alone, especially if you're in the hospital. So, I made a promise to myself, that as long as you're awake, I'll stay awake with you, so you don't ever have to feel like you're all alone." ---------- What would it be like to be normal? What would it be like to not be scared to fall asleep at night and not be afraid to wake up? She has always wondered what it would be like to be someone else who wasn't in her shoes. Mayuri Crest has unfortunately developed narcolepsy at a young age and ever since then, her life has always been under constant surveillance, where people always pity her, but never really asked her about who she is. Her last year in high school though, she plans to make sure that she doesn't forget any of it. Mayuri plans to make her last year the best year she's ever had and finally, after the long, gruelling pain of alienated because of her conditions, both her medical and school wise, she would experience what it would be like to be like everyone else. ------- NOTE: There are possible trigger warnings in this novel e.g. suicidal thoughts. His Lie in April - 四月の彼の嘘 (Shigatsu no Kare no Uso) (COMPLETE)

64 parts Complete

All of his life, Kousei Arima was a boy that was just about automatic as you could get when playing the piano. Then, one day, a free-spirited violinist comes into her life...... ....but then, Kousei finds out his fate may be in jeopardy. What will become of Kaori? Tsubaki? Watari? And most importantly, Kousei's rivals? Will Kousei be able to express his feelings towards Kaori, and can she save Kousei from his hell before it is too late? ----- As you can tell, this is an alternate retelling of Your Lie in April. But the fates have been reversed (and before you ask, Kousei is the ill one, not Kaori, who is far from that in this story), which will make for quite a gripping, if not heart-wrenching story, maybe more so than the original. ----- Please note, I do not write fanfics often, but I feel this is a story the needs to be told. I do hope you enjoy this story, however. "I met the girl under full-bloomed cherry blossoms, and my fate has begun to change..... .....but my fate may now be in jeopardy." ----- (BTW, the Japanese title substitutes one kanji for another. "Kimi" becomes "Kare".) Your comments regarding this story are welcome (but please, NO rude or degrading comments). Enjoy! :D First written January 2019, first published March 2019, completed June 2019 NOTE: The story is intended to be read as a theatrical film. This story is now COMPLETE as of June 2, 2019.
