Wyrm did not know why he was in the ancient basin. He also didn't know why he was awake. Each question was as confusing as the other, equally as unanswerable as any one that followed.
What he did know was that he was awake, he was bleeding, and something must have happened that pulled him from the dream.
And more than anything, he needed to check on the Pure Vessel.

They spare the godseeker and ordered her to get all the powerful bugs and gods of Hallownest to be put in a room together, just for Entertainment and curious on how they will all react to one another. However, The lord of shade's little social experiment would lead to the unexpected surprise that not even them, a being who's at the pinnacle of apex predators, could ever predicted.
