Percy was still too far away to hear, to know what was happening, and likely he wouldn't care. Annabeth's breath caught in her throat and the crowd faded, the voices just white noise. There was only Percy, his hair shaggy and swept to the side, his mouth drawn up in his troublemaker smile. Her body ached to return to him, he was so close. But if she was right, that would be a deadly mistake. Annabeth turned back to Jason. "You sold us out didn't you." "There's only one way to end the schism, Annabeth," Jason said. His remaining eye gleamed. "The Greeks must be wiped out." Reyna raised her hand. "Seize them." "Jason!" Piper cried as two legionaries grabbed her arms. "How could you!" Annabeth grit her teeth but didn't struggle. They couldn't win this fight. And the worst part? She totally saw it coming. This is an au where Jason turns the Greeks over to the Romans instead of cooperating, and the resulting conflict ensues. Can the Greeks and Romans work together? Or will they both be torn apart in the end. ***guys. i wrote this when i was 14 at the height of COVID-19. proceed w caution*** Queen Sally is shocked when instead of one heir, she has twin boys. Unfortunately, ancient law states that the royal family can only have one male offspring, otherwise a duel to the death has to be held. King Poseidon only knows about his first born, Prince Triton, while Percy lives in solitude as a spitting image of his father, locked away in the Northern Tower. Annabeth has always lived in the palace with her mother, Athena Chase, the Kings most trusted advisor. She has always been a naturally curious person, but has never thought twice of what could be in the Northern Tower. That is, until Aphrodite McLean and her daughter Piper are hired to prepare for Prince Triton's wedding and crowning. Turns out Piper is curious and very persuasive. What will happen when Annabeth starts poking around the Northern Tower? Read to find out! There will be lots of twists and turns, but this is my first story, so please be patient if I mess up. The only problem is Percy has failed to receive Athena's blessing in dating (maybe even eventually marrying) her daughter. Percy will do anything for Annabeth, so it doesn't come as a surprise when Athena makes a proposition. If Percy can make it through a quest assigned and designed by the wisdom goddess herself, he will have Athena's blessing to date her prized daughter.
