The Secrets that Lie Beneath

Melody, the rightful heir to the throne of her kingdom, has been on the run for 3 years now. Her parents died in a stable fire when she was only 6. After her parent's death's Melody's aunt and uncle became the rulers of the kingdom and her legal guardians. Melody always thought her aunt and uncle were a little too picture-perfect growing up. This was only proven when she and her friends were all 15. They uncovered her aunt and uncle's plan to assassinate the neighboring country's rulers to take over themselves. Of course, they had to stop them somehow. But this put Melody and her friends, Lily and David, in direct danger. In their attempt to stop the assassination, Melody fell out of the plane and landed in the ocean below, washing up on foreign land. David then went missing. A missing person report was then sent out for Melody and David, by the queen (her aunt's) request. Along with the news of the king's (her uncle's) death. Melody was then forced to stay on the run and consume a new identity. Now after about three years, Melody returns to her kingdom, searching for answers. She somehow lands herself a job and finds interest in the prince (her aunt's adopted son). As she continues her charade, Melody starts to uncover secrets that were long buried. Everything she thought she knew is about to be questioned. Leaving Melody not quite sure if she is ready to uncover the secrets that lie beneath.
