Okimoto Chiori has been in love with music her entire life, she always loved to perform for her friends at school for as long as she could remember. For a decent portion of her life she was living in America where her eyes had been opened to the life of common folk and how fun it was to live amongst them. So when she moved back to Japan, her home country, she begged her parents to allow her to go to a what most rich people called a "commoner" school and eventually with her brother's help they agreed.

That was around the time she met her closest friend to date, Fujioka Haruhi. The two girls always brought out the best in one another since they met and have maintained a best friendship ever since, even going as far to going to the same school once high school came around the corner.
