This is an ongoing story about how Skales saved Pythor that day from the Great Devourer and brought him to safety. There are a few bumps in the road (mostly Pythor having major trust issues) but their relationship will only strengthen and bloom into possibility something more. 

Aimed at a teenager+ audience, providing that you're comfortable with possibly mature themes as the story progresses. I will put warnings before and after anything like that anyway so you can skip if you want to.

The fact that his ex-boyfriend comes from a notorious crime family, and has been arrested several times by Jack's own department, doesn't matter. Salem's passed that, he's over Atlas Marino and he always will be. He will ignore that scratch in his record, and cover it up with his success. Salem is offered a job to help with an investigation that could benefit his future career astronomically. He thinks it's a win-win situation, he gets the recognition he desires, and the streets will be that much safer. It's all black and white to him, easy to understand.
